Does the
sponsorship help you reach your goals? Yes, if your goal is to increase
sales, improve client loyalty and help your clients and prospects grow
their businesses!
I can
use our marketing people! No, doing this is a waste of money, energy
and time. Your prospects see that as a "not very well hidden"
sales pitch. For your sponsorship investment to pay off you need the
credibility of a 3rd party. The companies that win at the
sponsorship games do it by bringing in people that add credibility to
their company and their products.
You must
differentiate your event! The same old come hear how great our new
product is just doesn’t do it! They want to learn how they can grow
their business! What a great thing for you! If you do it right it
will grow yours too!
Educational
and learning experience. Attendees want to get a good value for
their time. Education is priceless. People remember the people
that have helped them grow and learn.
Provide
networking opportunity. A side benefit to you and all the attendees
is they get to learn from their peers! That is one of the parts of the
NNFA seminars that the attendees love. They like to share.
The quality
of the event reflects the quality of the product. If the attendees
have a great experience they see your products as being great. It is
important to match the quality of the program to the same high standards
as your products.
Balance
commercial messages – stress learning. This is an area for mistakes.
Too often companies spend too much time talking about themselves and
their company and don’t help the attendees learn. If a person invests
the time to attend your program they need to get good value for their
time. In the other industry out of almost 800 attendees ALL have
said it was time well spent. Most even thanked the company for allowing
them to attend!
Dialog
– to share and understand. With the amazing pace that business is
happening, taking the time to share and have dialog with our clients
and prospects is vital to future success.
Engage
all 5 senses. If you want people to remember your message and learn
they need to be actively involved. That is the basis of accelerated
learning. Best of all it works!
Create
a positive memory. Our attendees always have a great memory of
the program! As a matter of fact we had a couple from Mexico attend
our NNFA program in 1995. They loved it so much they braved the Las
Vegas flood of 1999 to attend again. Our first program must have been
a very good memory!
